This will take in a one day trip to the Battlefield of Waterloo (Monday) and include a visit to the new British Cemetery at Fromelles and the Battle of Fromelles. The Menin Gate memorial service is the attraction every evening at 8pm. The evenings will give you the chance to relax in the ambience of this historic town with it’s wonderful food and beers. Cost of this trip will be in the region of £330 per person and will include a free bar on the coach and all meals. For those of you who love Ypres, this is a must and will give you a chance to meet your friends again before the onset of Winter. We shall also visit Hill 60, Hill 62, Mount Sorrel & Lower Star post (I was there last year and found some interesting German block houses which were attacked during the opening day of Passchendaele – and where Lt Col Edgar Mobbs, 7th Northants, the England Rugby International was killed in action on 31 July 1917)
